The direct deposit threshold for the checking bonus is somewhat steep, at a minimum $7,500 to earn a checking bonus, but if you have the income, this is an easy bonus. You'll have 90 days to reach this target, but keep in mind that unlike some banks that let you hit the bonus in a single transaction, U.S. Bank requires at least two direct deposits to qualify for this promotion.
