Central Bank is offering $150 as a welcome bonus to new checking account customers. Simply have at least two direct deposits of any amount within 90 days and they'll give you the $150 – pretty easy!

For now, however, we don't recommend this bonus. Instead, their $250 bonus has the same requirements but a higher reward. So, until that one expires, it would be pretty silly to opt into this promotion.

How To Earn The Bonus

The Central Bank of the Midwest Personal Checking promotion requires you to set up direct deposits in order to earn the $150 bonus. Full requirements to receive this bonus are:

  1. Open a new checking account using the promo code CM150Q4.
  2. Within 90 days, have at least two direct deposits.
  3. Bonus will be deposited into the checking account within 15 business days after the 90 day intro period.

The fine print

  • Available to new checking account customers only.
  • Customer must bring in mailer or use offer code to receive incentive.

Why Central Bank of the Midwest?

Central Bank is headquartered in Lees Summit, MO and is the 8th largest bank in the state. Established in 1985, the bank has grown to 57 locations across Kansas and Missouri. Central Bank has an A+ health rating, with $2 billion in assets and deposits totaling $1 billion.

On average, Central Bank of the Midwest charges low fees compared to national averages, but also doesn't offer competitive returns for their savings products. So, if you're looking for a checking account that won't nickel and dime you, great! But if you're shopping for CDs, savings accounts, or MMAs, probably keep looking.
