Available nationwide, Wells Fargo is most known for its personal checking bonuses; however, this time around Wells Fargo has a savings offer that's pretty solid! Wells Fargo is offering a $525 welcome bonus when you open a new personal savings account and maintain a minimum balance. The minimum balance is a little steep, but very reasonable for the bonus amount.

What's even more? You can stack this offer with their checking account bonus to earn a total of $850.

How To Earn The Bonus

The Wells Fargo Way2Save® Savings promotion requires you to deposit and maintain a minimum balance in order to earn the $525 bonus (step-by-step breakdown is listed above!).

As with any offer, don't forget to read the fine print before opening your new account. It's where the bank will clearly state who is eligible for the deal along with any nuances you'll want to be aware of.

The fine print

  • Must be a first time savings customer.
  • Must not have received any other consumer savings offer bonus or promotional rate that required a bonus offer code within the past 12 months.
  • All Wells Fargo consumer savings accounts are eligible for this offer with the exception of Time Accounts (CDs) and savings accounts offered by Wells Fargo Private Bank.

If you don't have a Wells Fargo branch near you, can you open this while traveling? Or is there a way to call in and get it? Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this; this is one of the few bonuses I haven't done.
