How to Join Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union
Credit unions differ from banks in that they restrict membership based on a shared common bond, or the credit union’s “field of membership”.
That means in order to qualify for this bonus (or any offer from a credit union), you'll first need to meet one of Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union's membership requirements:
- Current and retired employees of partner companies and their family and household members.
- Family and household members of current members.
- Members of the American Consumer Council who are also residents in the following five states: NM, CA, AZ, TX, CO
- Anyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers, or attends school in Valencia County, NM
- Individuals in Edgewood, NM and surrounding areas who either receive their electric power from Central NM Electric Coop (CNMEC) or who receive water from Entranosa Water Association (EWWA).
- Members of the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History or the Albuquerque International Association
Keep in mind that nearly all credit unions have a "once a member, always a member" policy, so once you're in, the above restrictions no longer apply.
