How to Join Community Financial Credit Union

Credit unions differ from banks in that they restrict membership based on a shared common bond, or the credit union’s “field of membership”.

That means in order to qualify for this bonus (or any offer from a credit union), you'll first need to meet one of Community Financial Credit Union's membership requirements:

  • Live, work, worship, or go to school in the state of Michigan.
  • Immediate family members such as a spouse, parent, child, sibling or grandparent, of someone who lives in our eligible communities are also eligible to join.
  • Anyone currently living in the same household with a member of Community Financial can also join.

Keep in mind that nearly all credit unions have a "once a member, always a member" policy, so once you're in, the above restrictions no longer apply.

Please stay away from this Credit Union. They are not interested if you have an outstanding credit score - 800+ in TransUnion, Equifax, and Experien. Neither are they interested if your Chex is great! Randomly they are rejecting applicants! I am only referring to online applications. YMMV in case of in-person in the Branch.
