at Chase

Chase Bank is offering business owners a $300 bonus to open a new Chase Business Complete Checking® account.

The requirements are pretty easy to meet: deposit new money at least $2,000 and maintain it for 2 months, and complete just 5 qualifying transactions in the next 3 months. Several activities count as "qualifying transactions", including purchases on your debit card, deposits into the account, setting up a bill payment, and more. See the fine print for the full list, but needless to say, meeting that requirement should be painless.

What's especially awesome about this bonus compared to other business checking account offers is that Chase recently launched the ability for customers to open an account online. Compared to the vast majority of business checking accounts which require you to visit your local branch, opening an account at Chase is significantly more convenient.

If you prefer live help, however, you can still enroll in this offer by entering your email address on the bonus landing page to have an offer code sent to you. Just be sure to take that code with you when you visit a branch.

How To Earn The Bonus

The Chase Business Complete Checking® promotion requires you to deposit and maintain a minimum balance, and optionally, make purchases using the account's card in order to earn the $300 bonus (step-by-step breakdown is listed above!).

As with any offer, don't forget to read the fine print before opening your new account. It's where the bank will clearly state who is eligible for the deal along with any nuances you'll want to be aware of.

The fine print

  • The new money cannot be existing deposits at Chase or its affiliates.
  • Offer not valid to existing Chase business checking customers, or those with accounts that have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance within the last 3 years from account opening.
  • If you close the account within six months, Chase will take the bonus back.
  • You can only receive one new business checking account opening related bonus once every two years.
  • Qualifying transactions include debit card purchases, Chase QuickAccept℠ deposits, Chase QuickDeposit℠, ACH (Credits), wires (Credits and Debits), Bill Pay.

Why Chase Bank?

Chase Bank is one of the largest banks in the U.S., and one of our top picks for national banks. You'll have access to more than 4,700 physical branches, more than 15,000 ATMs, and a well-liked mobile app that makes it easy to skip both (it averages 4.8 stars in the App Store and 4.4 stars on Google Play).

Chase offers everything from credit cards, home and auto loans, personal accounts, business and commercial products, and investment products under their J.P. Morgan umbrella.

Like most of the national banks, their rates aren't great, but their product breadth makes it easy to conveniently bank all at one place.

Plus, when it comes to bank bonuses and coupon codes, Chase has some of the best out there. The bank is constantly trying to attract new customers with sign-up bonuses and promotional offers.

Chase Business Complete Checking®

The Chase Business Complete Checking® account is a business checking account with card payment acceptance built-in.

Using the Chase Mobile app, your customers can pay you with tap, dip or swipe transactions (using their QuickAccept card reader), and you'll have same-day access to your cash while paying a transparent 2.6% + 10 cents for each transaction.

Fees

Chase Business Complete Checking® does charge a monthly maintenance fee of $15, but there are ways to get this waived:

  • Maintain a minimum beginning balance each day of $2,000
  • OR, make $2,000 in purchases using your Chase Ink Business Card(s)
  • OR, receive $2,000 in payments from QuickAccept or other eligible Chase Merchant Services transactions
  • OR, link the account to a Chase Private Client Checking account

Qualifying transactions include debit card purchases,
Chase QuickAccept℠ deposits, Chase QuickDeposit℠, ACH (Credits), wires (Credits and Debits), Bill Pay.

Do you have to complete one of each? Can you just do 5 debit card purchases?

Since you lose your bonus if you close your account within 6 months, you will have to keep the $2000 in there to avoid the $15 monthly fee which could add to $90 loss in 6 months if you don't!

Yes, you can just do 5 debit card purchases, or any other combo of qualifying transactions. It doesn't need to be one of each.

Wondering too when the 2 years is counted from the bonus post time, account open date or close date.

This is a GREAT question that I would also like the answer to. Anybody know or got chase connections to find out? I can't stand the bank phone hold times anymore.

I was able to open the account online as a sole proprietorship so I guess I got lucky not having to go to the branch. The bonus requirements seem easy. And I’ve always like the Chase mobile app.

This offer is notorious for making you go in branch to open the account. There is a link to open online, but from all of the data points I have, you'll likely need to go in branch. However, the return is good and Chase pays quickly. Having a business checking account is also valuable when trying to get Chase Ink cards.

Chase is one of the easiest offers to complete and very good at payouts. Churnable every year but account can be flagged as they are very sensitive to such churning. Careful while closing the account, I wait for six months before closing
