at Allegiance Credit Union

Available in select Oklahoma counties, Allegiance Credit Union is offering a $250 welcome bonus when you open a new personal checking account and use your account. You'll need a combination of ACH transactions and debit card usage, but overall it's a fairly easy bonus to earn. On top of that, when you complete the requirements each month you'll earn "rewards" associated with the account you open (ie interest or cash back).

What's more? Once you become a member, you can refer qualifying friends and family to earn an additional $50 each.

How To Earn The Bonus

The Allegiance Credit Union Personal Checking promotion requires you to make purchases using the account's card, and optionally, set up direct deposits in order to earn the $250 bonus (step-by-step breakdown is listed above!).

As with any offer, don't forget to read the fine print before opening your new account. It's where the credit union will clearly state who is eligible for the deal along with any nuances you'll want to be aware of.

The fine print

  • Limit of one account per SSN or ITIN.
  • Account must be in good standing.

How to Join Allegiance Credit Union

Credit unions differ from banks in that they restrict membership based on a shared common bond, or the credit union’s “field of membership”.

That means in order to qualify for this bonus (or any offer from a credit union), you'll first need to meet one of Allegiance Credit Union's membership requirements:

  • Live, work, worship, or attend school in one of the following Oklahoma counties: Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, McClain, Oklahoma, and Pottawatomie
  • Be an immediate family member of current members: member's spouse, parents of the spouse, the member's parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and the member's brothers and sisters.

Keep in mind that nearly all credit unions have a "once a member, always a member" policy, so once you're in, the above restrictions no longer apply.
