How to Join Oregon State Credit Union
Credit unions differ from banks in that they restrict membership based on a shared common bond, or the credit union’s “field of membership”.
That means in order to qualify for this bonus (or any offer from a credit union), you'll first need to meet one of Oregon State Credit Union's membership requirements:
- Oregon: Persons who live or work in, and organizations located within, the community consisting of, Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Crook, Curry, Deschutes, Douglas, Gilliam, Hood River, Jackson, Jefferson, Josephine, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Morrow, Multnomah, Polk, Sherman, Tillamook, Wasco, Washington, Wheeler and Yamhill Counties;
- Washington: Persons who live, work, worship or go to school in Clark or Skamania County.
- Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this Credit Union;
- Immediate family members of persons eligible for membership, (grandparents, parents, spouse, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, half-brothers, half-sisters, aunts, uncles, and domestic partners); and,
- Business and nonbusiness organizations composed of individuals who are eligible for membership or whose employees are eligible for membership.
Keep in mind that nearly all credit unions have a "once a member, always a member" policy, so once you're in, the above restrictions no longer apply.
