Available nationwide and from a well-ranked bank, Capital One is offering up to $1,500 if you open a 360 Performance Savings account. This is a 3-tier bonus – the more you deposit, the more you can earn. This time around they've increased all tiers.
You'll need to make some sizable deposits, totaling at least $20,000, which will earn you $300. To get the full amount, you'll need to deposit $100,000.
Overall, if you're a new Capital One personal savings customer, this is a bonus with easy requirements if you have some cash and is worth taking advantage of.
How To Earn The Bonus
The Capital One 360 Performance Savings promotion requires you to deposit and maintain a minimum balance in order to earn the up to $1500 bonus (step-by-step breakdown is listed above!).
As with any offer, don't forget to read the fine print before opening your new account. It's where the bank will clearly state who is eligible for the deal along with any nuances you'll want to be aware of.
The fine print
- Capital One reserves the right to withdraw this offer, with or without notice, in its sole discretion if it is determined that fraud or any other factor beyond its control is impacting the integrity of the offer and campaign.
- If you have or had an open 360 Performance Savings, 360 Savings, 360 Money Market, Savings Now or Confidence Savings account as a primary or secondary account holder with Capital One on or after January 1, 2021, you will be ineligible for the bonus.
- If your account is in default, closed or suspended, or otherwise not in good standing, you will not receive the bonus.
- This offer cannot be combined with any other 360 Performance Savings account opening offers.
- Only one promotional code is accepted. Bonus is only valid for one new 360 Performance Savings account.
- If at any time during the 90 days following the Initial Funding Period your Deposit Amount drops into a lower tier, you will be rewarded that tier's cash bonus.
- If your Deposit Amount decreases to an amount less than $10,000, you will not qualify for a cash bonus.

How does this personal savings offer from Capital One compare?
To help you determine how this bonus stacks against the rest, here are some of the most popular offers available right now:
Why Capital One?
Capital One Bank is the fifth-largest consumer bank and the eighth-largest financial institution in the U.S. The firm has become well known in recent years for credit cards and the popular slogan, "What's in your wallet?"
The bank has about 325 physical branches – most of which are in New York, Texas and Virginia – and 70,000 fee-free ATMs. Their products cover both personal and business, with their rates and fees surprisingly competitive for a national bank. In fact, their 360 Checking account has no monthly fee while also offering (a small amount of) interest on your balance – virtually unheard of.
Capital One's digital experience is also solid, with intuitive online and mobile apps that are well-reviewed (4.9 in the App Store with 5.6 million ratings and 4.6 from the 1.3 million Android users) and offer the same features as most of the online-focused banks: card lock, mobile check deposit, instant alerts, reward tracking and redemption, face ID, and Zelle transfers.
Overall, Capital One is a really solid bank, and if you can also add on a welcome bonus? Well, that's the cherry on top.

August 26So that I don’t screw this up and not receive my bonus, I have to hold the minimum required amount (in my case $100k) for 115 days (90 days hold + 15 funding). After 115 days, I can expect the bonus within an additional 60 days. So, I can withdraw most of my funds after 115 days, before I receive the bonus?

November 15, 2023Beware of the existing account requirement. If you've had a bank account with Capital One in 2021, 2022, or 2023, you can't get this bonus. It's a shame that it's so limited.
