How to Join SkyOne Federal Credit Union
Credit unions differ from banks in that they restrict membership based on a shared common bond, or the credit union’s “field of membership”.
That means in order to qualify for this bonus (or any offer from a credit union), you'll first need to meet SkyOne's membership requirements:
- Lives, works/regularly conducts business, worships or goes to school in the qualified area around the SkyOne Main Branch (Hawthorne, CA)
- Be a member of the Surfrider's Foundation (SkyOne will pay $25 membership fee), Friends of Madrona Marsh (SkyOne will pay $20 membership fee), Women in Aviation or one of several other select non-profits.
- Be employed by a company that's part of SkyOne's Select Employer Groups.
- Be an immediate family member or roommate of a SkyOne member.
Keep in mind that nearly all credit unions have a "once a member, always a member" policy, so once you're in, the above restrictions no longer apply.
